Accreditation: The following is taken from a document provided by the Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA-CESS) called “What Is Accreditation?” The MSA is a well-known organization supporting many international schools around the world. AISB has been working over the past couple of years with MSA toward being accredited.

AISB focused heavily on and completed its self-study with MSA in February 2017 and hosted the visiting team in March of that same year. Based on the visiting team's report, AISB is now poised to be accredited on December 1, 2017. Staff, students, parents, administrators and board members all contributed to this process and, in the end, AISB is being recognized for all that these different stakeholder groups accomplished in the accreditation process. There is still more to do and the work will continue to help build AISB's program so that student learning is improved at all levels.
The accreditation process validates the integrity of the school’s educational program and student reports, enabling students to transition easily to schools and universities around the world.
