Accreditation

The following is taken from a document provided by the Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA-CESS) called “What Is Accreditation?” The MSA is a well-known organization supporting many international schools around the world. AISB has been working over the past couple of years with MSA toward being accredited.

Accreditation is an important process and an accountability system. Using internationally recognized standards an institution is asked to compare itself through a self-study and willingly submitting to a rigorous peer review process. Accreditation.

  • encourages and facilitates continuous growth and improvement
  • provides a means for greater accountability
  • fosters increased involvement and greater commitment
